Hyderabad: Prayagraj is set to host the world’s largest spiritual gathering, Maha Kumbh 2025, from January 13 to February 26. The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has allocated `2,600 crores to ensure a grand, safe, and transformative experience for 45 crore devotees.
This year’s Kumbh will feature six royal bathing dates, steeped in ancient rituals performed by sadhus and saints. Combining tradition and technology, Maha Kumbh 2025 will be the first Digital Kumbh and Green Kumbh, with AI-powered chatbots offering real-time updates in 10 languages and eco-friendly practices like clean energy and waste management.
The 40,000-hectare Mela area, divided into 25 sectors, will feature 2 lakh tents, enhanced ghats, and an 1,800-hectare parking zone. Health, hygiene, and security services are top priorities, with water police from Goa, Kolkata, and Maharashtra ensuring safety.
Prayagraj is undergoing a massive beautification drive with green belts, thematic decorations, and improved infrastructure. Maha Kumbh 2025, a blend of spirituality, nationalism, and modernity, aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of India as a developed nation by 2047.
